We would like to invite you to ‘The Future is Northern’ a Media Seminar in which we will reflect on what the future MediaCity:UK (www.mediacityuk.co.uk) means for Greater Manchester and the north of the UK. The seminar will be held on 19th June from 9.45am to midday at the Friends Meeting House, just opposite the Town Hall. We are aware that several discussions are taking place amongst Christian artists, media makers, and Christian leaders in this city region and other cities in the North West on this great potential and we thought it may be helpful at this stage to arrange a get together to further inform our thoughts and dialogues and connect the various communities. We envisage some brief presentations to set the scene and inspire our imagination, time to talk in small groups, and a question and answer session. Contributors will include Michael Wakelin, BBC Head of Religion and Ethics; and Andrew Graystone, Director, Churches' Media Council.
