The PeaceWeek 2010 Family Lantern Parade for Peace is a simple but effective way to vote with your feet - literally - for peace and community cohesion. Beginning at dusk, lit by lanterns made in schools and workshops leading up to and during PeaceWeek and led by samba bands, marches start at the Moss Side and Longsight Adventure Playgrounds and meet at Whitworth Park. This symbolises bringing communities together where there have been "turf" problems, particularly for young people. Even if you live in another part of Manchester, why not come along and show your support for communities that are working to show a more positive side than the "Gunchester" myth?
