Joel Edwards is leaving the Evangelical Alliance after 20 years serving there and filling the role of General Director for the past 11 years. Not only has Joel represented the evangelical community admirably in so many public ways, he has also been a good friend to the city region.
We therefore would like to suggest Greater Manchester gives him a grand send off when he visits the city on 2 July as part of the Agenda for Change tour. An Agenda for Change is a bold call to evangelicals to unite to change society and present Christ credibly as good news. Visit see the excellent, interactive website at www.eauk.org/A4C for more information, and read below for a short introduction.
It would be great if you and your friends can attend the meeting on 2 July 7.30pm at King’s House to show Joel our appreciation of his faithful work. Kings House is on Sidney Street off the Oxford Road in central Manchester (see http://www.makingjesusfamous.org/index.php?page=MKHD for directions*).
Network and King’s Church will also host a leaders gathering before the event from 6pm at King’s House, including a buffet tea, at which we would welcome your attendance (please email admin@kingschurch-manchester.org or phone 0161 273 2168 to confirm your attendance*).
As the evangelical community we want to honour Joel as he rounds off this phase of his ministry and we hope you can join us in doing this.
