The Christian music industry has become the latest victim of illegal music piracy. Popular bands, like thebandwithnoname, have discovered that their music is available for download on peer-to-peer (P2P) servers. Innervation Trust, who manage thebandwithnoname, tbc and Collectives, are concerned that young people are being tempted to break the law without knowing.
Innervation Trust is heavily dependent on income generated by sales of CD's by bands thebandwithnoname and tbc to be able to continue reinvesting in future projects. Innervation's Zarc Porter says, "We have been massively encouraged by the huge response to thebandwithnoname's Dying To Be There but at the same time a little saddened by the fact that the album has already been made available illegally via some P2P networks."
Mark Pennells, Director of Innervation Trust said, “We would encourage people to buy legitimate copies of Dying To Be There, which are available from www.innervationtrading.org or from your local Christian store. The audio quality is much better and fans won’t miss out on the FREE 60 minute bonus DVD bundled with the album, which gives an insight into the lives and minds of the band. It also has a behind the scenes look at the making of the Shake It Down video and never seen before footage and interviews with the new band members.”
“Also packaged into the innovative double disc box is a full lyric book and an exclusive entry form for a continuing Dying To Be There competition, for tickets to the Revolution Tour.”
The album is available as a download album or as individual tracks from legitimate online music stores such as iTunes. Any profit made from sales goes straight back into the work Innervation Trust - what could be better?
