Every revival has always been founded in prayer. If we are to believe that 2008 will be a year of revival in Greater Manchester and across the UK then we simply have to fight the battle in the prayer. I love the phrase - 'the battle is in the prayer and everyting else is the mopping up exercise' because it puts prayer into its proper perspective. By praying together we can really look forward to the mopping up exercise of 2008 but without prayer our work will be fruitless.

There is a real sense that God is blessing the unity and calling us to 'be as one, just as Christ and the Father are as one' (John 17:21). Coming together in prayer is an important outward sign of that unity. It is tremendously exciting to witness this building unity.
