AIS UK brings hope through football by envisioning, equipping & enabling Christians to be and share the good news of Jesus wherever football is played in the UK.
Part of an international organisation, AIS UK’s head office is in Bolton, where the work first began in 1990. In the UK AIS also has offices in London and Portadown. For over 15 years AIS has been at the forefront in developing practical models of ministry which seek to bring a positive football experience to all.
What we do:
AIS Soccer Schools combine professional coaching together with Bible teaching. Our aim is to provide a positive football experience for all who attend. We run soccer schools across the country lasting between 2 and 5 days.
AIS works with schools and church youth groups providing quality coaching and safe environments for young people to participate. The London office works alongside young offenders helping teach life skills and bring hope through football.
Each year AIS sends out short term playing and coaching tours across the globe. The aim of our tours is to assist local projects and our offices internationally to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. For 10 to 21 days players will be involved in playing matches, taking coaching clinics and envisioning the international church regarding football ministry.
Ambassadors Academy is a 9 to 24 month internship and sports ministry training experience, open to anyone over 18. As well as receiving training in evangelism, mission, the biblical basis for sports ministry and coaching, delegates are actively involved in practical ministry, with opportunities to visit our offices around the world.
AIS Teams Ministry based in Bolton is a football club with a difference, running mens, womens and junior teams and tournaments. The club is actively seeking to disciple its members through Bible study, prayer and pastoral care.
Training, Resourcing, Equipping Churches and Coaches (TREC) courses have been held mainly in Manchester, envisioning and equipping people to start to use football to bring hope to their communities.
Football is about dreams, pulling on your team shirt, scoring that winning goal in a cup final or grabbing victory to win the league title. But our dream goes much further.
