In 1990, people drawn from a variety of sections in the community came together in Manchester's Town Hall to enjoy a traditional breakfast and to pray for the City region. This has continued throughout the last decade and a half. Our desire is that leaders at all levels of society should be enabled by God to strengthen and spiritual and moral values of the City region.
We bridge social economic and political divisions to experience unity in Christ.
We enjoy the support of all Church leaders including the Bishops of Manchester and Salford.
In the Spring, the event is renamed the Lord Mayor's Prayer Breakfast and is attended by the Civic leadership of the boroughs.
Our foundational scripture comes from Jeremiah 29:7: "Seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you... Pray to the Lord for it, for if it prospers you too will prosper".
Join us at the Prayer Breakfast for friendships and prayer accross the city region
