AWOT (Asian Work in Old Trafford) was formed by four churches in the Old Trafford area to take the gospel to the largely unreached S. Asian communities. Its aims are:

• to develop a positive appreciation of the varying cultural and religious beliefs of the local Asian community
  
• to develop our practice and understanding of mission with regard to the local Asian communities
• to find the most appropriate ways for any converting from another faith to Christianity to live out their new faith

It's ministry is mainly amongst Muslims.

AWOT runs and participates in community events bringing together S. Asian and church communities; offers training courses to churches and other Christian groups; organises seminars and conferences bringing wider national expertise to Manchester; encourages interfaith dialogue between Christian and Muslim leaders, supports small training groups.
